Honda Builds EV With 3D Printer

Honda has built a compact EV delivery van using 3D printing technology. The Micro Commuter has been designed as an urban delivery vehicle for Japanese biscuit maker Toshimaya. The plastic printed body panels are mounted on a lightweight tubular chassis and powered by an 11kW electric motor good for 43 mph with a range of 50 miles and a three-hour charge time. Insiders say that that the Micro Commuter could enter full production as  town delivery shuttle in 2017.
