Another Busted EV Myth

16 November 2016

Growing data is proving that EV battery life is longer than anybody expected with General Motors admitting that they haven’t had to replace a single battery pack for capacity degradation under warranty on their first-generation Chevrolet Volt model. GM Execs at the Brownstone battery assembly plant stunned motoring journalists by saying that demand for replacement batteries is minimal due to ‘surprisingly lengthy life cycles’. Doubly impressive when you know how many big mileage Volts are in the US, including the 2012 model belonging to Erick Belmer of Ohio that’s covered a massive 300,000 miles on its original battery pack.
